What to do if you can’t take bulky items to the recycling centre

• Are your items in a sorry state ? Say hello to the Allô Encombrants service :

If you’re disabled or have no means of transport, Allô Encombrants will collect and dispose of up to 3 bulky items for free.

The team will be in touch to set a date. Bulky items must be left on the pavement the night before the set date. Please do not obstruct the pavement.

Allô Encombrants does not collect : commercial waste, green waste, rubble, dangerous or hazardous waste (paint, acid etc.), car parts, items requiring some form of hoist, items exceeding 3m or whose size would make them hard to transport to the recycling centre.

Extended producer responsibility means some industries have established measures for businesses to collect used items such as household appliances (fridges, computers, electric goods), furniture etc. with or without new purchases. The recycling service is available on delivery or at drop-off points in participating stores.
