The Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Gex is responsible for collecting, recycling and processing waste for the 27 towns and villages in the Pays de Gex. It works with SIVALOR to sort packaging, recover energy from household waste and recycle garden waste. Suez is in charge of bin collection.

Who’s in charge of what?
Pays de Gex Agglo provides and maintains bins and local recycling bins, manages recycling centres, collects waste and manages billing. It is responsible for these services with procurement contracts and outsourced public services.
SIVALOR is in charge of sorting waste, recovering energy from household waste at the energy recovery facility in Valserhône and processing garden waste at the compost facilities in Versonnex and Péron.
