Burning waste, what the law says :
Private individuals are not allowed to burn their waste, including green waste. They must be deposited at a waste collection center or recycled on site*. This includes lawn clippings, dead leaves, prunings, hedge trimmings, undergrowth, peelings, etc.
The mayor’s health department can be called in if a person fails to comply with the ban. In addition to being a nuisance to neighbors (odours, smoke) and a fire hazard, burning garbage increases air pollution. Illegal dumping, wherever it takes place, is totally forbidden.

*Green waste can be recycled by composting or mulching.
